Slack Rope Device
- The purpose of this device is to stop hoisting function whenever the rope goes slack due to improper winding or breakage in rope.
- There is one roller on each wire rope with certain mass made to roll on the winding and unwinding wire rope above the winch drum system.
- The rolling occurs as long as there is prescribed tension in the wire rope.
- When the tension is lost , the roller falls and thereby presses the plunger of the limit switch to send the signal to the control panel to stop hoist motor function.
